SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Chengdu Shindoo Chemi-Industry said late on Wednesday it has begun trial runs at its new 600,000 tonne/year nitrogen-based compound fertilizer plant at Yingcheng in Hubei province.
The company expects to achieve on-spec products at the plant in the next three to four months, the source added.
Chengdu Shindoo also began trial runs at its new 100,000 tonne/year sodium nitrate unit and similarly expects on-spec products in the same time frame, according to the source.
The two new plants involved an investment of around yuan (CNY) 610m ($99.5m), according to the source.
No further details on the plants were disclosed.
Chengdu Shindoo is a compound fertilizer manufacturer in Chengdu, southwest China. It also produces crude salt and soda ash.
