SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Yongsan Chemicals is ramping up production at its 18,000 tonne/year maleic anhydride (MA) line in Ulsan after restarting it this week, a company source said on Friday.
The MA line was shut on 2 May for maintenance lasting around 50 days, the source added.
The unit was brought back on line on 17 June and is now currently running at 70% capacity.
The company plans to progressively increase the run rate to near 100%.
The producer’s other 20,000 tonne/year MA line at the same site is operating at over 90% capacity, the source added.
