NOON SNAPSHOT Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Thursday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: August WTI: $95.58/bbl, up 44 cents/bbl. August BRENT: $102.84/bbl, up 69 cents/bbl
Crude futures gained on Friday as traders returned to the market after yesterday’s huge sell-off which saw the August Brent contract lose more than $4.00/bbl towards the settlement.

NAPHTHA: $838-840/tonne, up $5-6/tonne. 
The cargo range was assessed up from Thursday evening on a stronger crack spread. July swaps were assessed at $838-840/tonne

BENZENE: $1,345-1,355/tonne, steady
The market was quiet this morning, with players still attending the European Petrochemical Luncheon (EPL) in London this week. The range for June was steady.

STYRENE: $1,710-1,730/tonne, steady
June prices were unchanged so far this morning. Activity was subdued as most players are attending EPL.
