SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhenhai Taida Chemical has shut its 60,000 tonne/year phthalic anhydride (PA) unit at Ningbo in Zhejiang province on 22 June for maintenance, a company source said on Monday.
The exact date of the restart is not immediately known.
The shutdown will not have any impact on the supply from the company as it had set aside some inventory ahead of the turnaround, the source added.
The shutdown may lead to a decline in PA supply in east China, but this will have little impact on the spot market amid weak downstream demand, a market player said.
