SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Petrochemical market players said it will be “business as usual” in Saudi Arabia, as the Kingdom changes the start of its weekend, market players said on Wednesday.
Starting next week the weekend will be from Friday to Saturday, market sources said. Previously, Saudi weekends were on Thursday and Friday.
“No changes, no impact to the market at all. It will be business as usual,” said a source close to a Saudi producer.
A Dubai-based end-user said that Saudi companies will be available on Thursdays, when markets in the UAE open.
“[Saudi producers] will be available for an extra working day. This will give us an extra day to do any business with them,” the end-user said.
