SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Philippines’ sole polystyrene (PS) producer DFE Chemical is on track to shut its facility in early July for maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.
The 30,000 tonne/year plant in Manila is expected to be shut for around three weeks.
“We are already in the process of winding down the plant and will shut it down next week,” the source added.
The other PS producers in southeast Asia are Denka and Total petrochemicals in Singapore; Petrochemicals Malaysia; IRPC and Siam Cement in Thailand.
