SINGAPORE (ICIS)-- Japanese refiner JX Nippon Oil & Energy expects to restart a 95,000 bbl/day No 2 crude distillation unit (CDU) at its Mizushima B refinery later on Thursday, a company source said.
The unit was has been down since 27 March for scheduled maintenance, the source said.
JX Nippon Oil’s 110,000 bbl/day No 3 CDU at the site was taken off line on 24 June for scheduled maintenance, and is due to restart a month later, the source said.
Meanwhile, the company restarted a fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) at the refinery complex on 25 June. The unit had been shut from 20 March for scheduled maintenance, another company source said.
The FCC unit is expected to operate at a reduced rate of around 80% in July because of technical issues at the refinery.
