LONDON (ICIS)--German petrochemical major BASF’s cracker in Antwerp, Belgium is running well, and on-spec production has been achieved, a company source said on Thursday.
This follows a recent planned maintenance turnaround at the cracker, which started at the end of April and was due to be completed by the second half of June.
On-spec production had originally been expected by the 22-23 June weekend, but was achieved slightly later than anticipated.
The cracker has the capacity to produce 1.08m tonnes/year of ethylene, and is Europe’s largest cracker.
