SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Jingmen on 1 July shut its 120,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in Hubei province for regular maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
However, the source was unable to provide details on the restart schedule.
The plant was producing flat yarn PP before the shutdown.
The shutdown is expected to have little impact on the market because of the plant’s small capacity and the ample availability in the market, according to market participants.
