SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Yeochun NCC (YNCC) is running its No 2 aromatics facility in Yeosu at 91% of capacity on lower output from upstream cracker, a company source said late on Thursday.
“We have been running the unit at reduced operations since end-June,” the source said, adding that run rates should improve sometime this month.
YNCC’s No 2 aromatics facility can produce 120,000 tonnes/year of benzene, 60,000 tonnes/year of toluene and 40,000 tonnes/year of solvent xylene.
The company’s No 1 and No 3 aromatics plants are running at full operations.
