Russian plastics output increases 14% year on year in H1 2013

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia's output of plastics increased 14% year on year to 3m tonnes in the first half of 2013, said statistics agency Rosstat on Tuesday.

In January-June 2013, the country's total output of mineral or chemical fertilizers was down by 1.5% year on year at 9.1m tonnes, according to the agency. Ammonia output was 6.1% higher year on year at 7.4m tonnes, it said.

Synthetic rubber production was 5.1% up year on year at 776,000 tonnes, it said.
