LONDON (ICIS)--Caprolactam (capro) exports from the EU increased by 29% year on year in April, according to data from Eurostat on Thursday.
The EU exported 27,876 tonnes of capro in April 2012 which rose to 35,951 tonnes in April this year.
Exports in May rose by 20% year on year to to 32,194 tonnes from 26,803 tonnes in May last year.Capro imports rose by 54% in April year on year with 1,319 tonnes, up from 858 tonnes in the same month last year. May imports, though, fell back sharply to 81 tonnes, down 89% year on year from 741 tonnes in May last year.
