LONDON (ICIS)--Methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) imports from the EU, year on year, fell by 33% in April, but rose by 39% in May, according to data from Eurostat on Thursday.
In April 2013 1,518 tonnes of MIBK were imported by the EU, compared with 2,271 tonnes in April 2012. In May 2013 2,532 tonnes of MIBK were imported compared with 1,822 tonnes in May 2012.
MIBK exports from the EU fell by 4% year on year in both April and May. In April 2013, 322 tonnes of MIBK were exported by the EU, compared with 337 tonnes in April 2012. In May 2013, 373 tonnes of MIBK wer exported, compared with 389 tonnes in May 2012.
