SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Korea Kumho Petrochemical Corp (KKPC) will cut production at its 480,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant in Ulsan late this month because of weak market conditions, a company source said on Friday.

“We will run our SBR plant at around 80% capacity from late July onwards, until market conditions improve,” the source said.

KKPC’s SBR plant is currently running at around 95% of capacity, the source said.

The South Korean company is a major SBR producer in Asia.
