HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner Valero’s new hydrocracker unit at its 205,000 bbl/day St Charles refinery in Louisiana is operating at planned rates, a company spokesperson confirmed on Monday.
The 60,000 bbl/day unit, which began start-up procedures on 10 July, makes distillates and gasoline and was built to take advantage of higher crude prices, stronger diesel margins and cheap natural gas.
