China's CNOOC, Shell sign MoU on upstream exploration, LNG

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--State-owned company China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Anglo-Dutch major Shell to cooperate in a range of oil and gas activities, CNOOC said on Thursday.

The areas covered in the MoU include upstream oil and gas exploration, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and the exchange of technology, according to a newsletter by CNOOC.

No other details were revealed.

The MoU was signed on 24 July in Beijing.
