HOUSTON (ICIS)--Enterprise Products has initiated a binding open season to seek shipper support for the proposed expansion of a portion of its Panola natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline system between Carthage and Lufkin, Texas, the US-based midstream energy company said on Friday.
Depending on shipper response, the Panola system could expanded by about 15,000 bbl/day, with the additional capacity available by the end of the fourth quarter of 2013, Enterprise said.
The open season begins on 26 July, and will close on 2 August.
The expansion project is designed to provide oil and gas producers in the Haynesville and Cotton Valley regions with access to the NGL fractionation complex in Mont Belvieu, Texas.
Originating near Carthage in Texas' Panola County, the NGL pipeline system extends 181 miles, serving multiple destination points at Mont Belvieu, including facilities owned and operated by Enterprise.
