LONDON (ICIS)--Poland’s PKN Orlen will start planned maintenance at its phenol and acetone plant in Plock, Poland, on 20 September, a company source said on Thursday.

The company has the capacity to produce around 52,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 30,000 tonnes/year of acetone at the facility.

“We have one shutdown on our unit in September-October. It will take 10-15 days and starts on 20 September,” the company source said.

Other outages planned in Europe on phenol and acetone include Domo Caproleuna in Leuna, Germany, which will close for the first half of August for two weeks.

The second is at Novapex’s plant in Roussillon, France, for two weeks from the 5 August
