SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Lotte Chemical Corp is planning to reduce operating rates at its aromatics plant in Yeosu by the end of August amid feedstock shortage, a company source said.
The company’s plant produces benzene, toluene and solvent xylene.
“The plant is currently running at 100% but we are looking at reducing to 90% because of feedstock shortage,” the source added.
Earlier on, the company has said they would be reducing operating rates at their Daesan facility because of feedstock pyrolysis gasoline (pygas) shortage as well.
