Japan’s Idemitsu buys 25,000 tonnes naphtha for first-half Sept

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Idemitsu has bought a 25,000 tonne open-spec naphtha cargo for delivery in the first half of September, traders said on Monday.

The deal for the cargo was done at a premium of $4.00/tonne (€3/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight), they added.

Previously, Idemitsu bought a similar-sized naphtha cargo for delivery to Tokuyama in August, at Japan quotes CFR pricing plus $7.00-8.00/tonne. The cargo is scheduled for delivery on 1-31 August.
