EU MIBK imports fall 49% year on year in June

LONDON (ICIS)--Methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) imports to the EU fell 49% year on year in June, according to data from statistics agency, Eurostat, on Monday.

Imports that month fell to 1,726 tonnes from 3,369 tonnes in June last year.

Meanwhile, MIBK exports fell 66% over the same period.

Exports in June were at 229 tonnes compared with 667 tonnes a year ago.

Eurostat import/export data is subject to revision as more detailed information becomes available.
