SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan's JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corp nominated on Monday its benzene Asia Contract Price (ACP) for September at $90/tonne (€68/tonne) higher than its August settlement, a company source said.
September nomination stood at $1,340/tonne CFR (cost & freight) Asia, according to the source.
“Higher nomination is in line with the recent recovery seen in spot prices,” the source said.
Benzene spot prices were higher at the close of the trading session on 26 August at $1,270-1,275/tonne FOB (free on board) Korea from previous week’s level, which was largely capped at $1,270/tonne FOB Korea, according to ICIS.
