LONDON (ICIS)--UK specialty chemicals producer Synthomer said on Thursday that its middle eastern subsidiary is to expand polymer dispersion capacity at its plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
A joint venture between Synthomer and Saudi company Dhahran Chemical Industries and Marketing, Synthomer Middle East’s dispersible polymer capacity at the site will be over 100,000 tonnes/year by early 2014.
"The market in the Middle East has continued to develop strongly in recent years and this latest expansion to our Dammam facility is essential to ensure we keep pace with the growing demands from our construction and coating customers in the region,” said Synthomer Middle East managing director Shaz Rashid.
