SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Saudi Arabia's Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical (Petro Rabigh) has kept its 350,000 tonne/year linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) line and two polypropylene (PP) units with a combined capacity of 700,000 tonne/year shut since mid-August due to technical issues, sources close to the company said on Monday.
“The LLDPE and PP units were shut three weeks ago and they have not been restarted yet,” said one of the sources.
The producer’s other LLDPE plant with a 250,000tonne/year capacity was not affected by the technical issues, said a second source.
The producer was not immediately available for comment.
