South Korea’s LG Chem buys 50,000 tonnes naphtha for H1 October

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem has bought two naphtha cargoes totalling 50,000 tonnes for delivery in the first half of October, traders said on Tuesday.

The deal for the Yeosu-bound cargo was done at a discount of $1/tonne (€0.76/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight), while the Daesan-bound cargo fetched a discount of 50 cents to Japan quotes CFR, they added.

LG Chem last bought 25,000 tonnes of naphtha for delivery in the second half of September, at a premium of $3.75/tonne to Japan quotes CFR.
