SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem has set the schedule of maintenance for both of its oxo-alcohols units in October and November, a company source said on Friday.

The company plans to shut its oxo-alcohols unit at Yeosu on 2-16 October, while the Naju plant will be shut from 22 October to 5 November, the source added.

LG operates a 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) unit with a nameplate capacity of 144,000 tonnes/year at Yeosu. Its n-butanol (NBA)/2-EH swing plant located at Naju has a 150,000 tonnes/year nameplate capacity, according to the source.
