HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ExxonMobil restarted its Baton Rouge cracker in Louisiana, sources said on Tuesday.

Market players said the cracker had been down since late August because of a steam leak.

The cracker has an ethylene capacity of 1m tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.

A spokesperson for ExxonMobil declined to comment, citing company policy.
