SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Siam Polyethylene plans to shut its two linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) facilities and its 220,000 tonne/year specialty elastomers unit at Map Ta Phut in November for a month-long turnaround, a source close to the company said on Friday.
The LLDPE facilities have a combined capacity of 650,000 tonnes/year, the source said.
Siam Polyethylene is a 50-50 joint venture between US firm Dow Chemical and Thailand's Siam Cement Group.
