SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) plans to restart its 600,000 tonne/year Group II base oils plant at Mailiao in Taiwan in late September, a company source said on Wednesday.

The plant was shut on 5 August for a routine turnaround.

The company will resume its contractual supply of base oils in October, the source said.

However, spot supply to the Chinese market will not be available until November as inventory level is low, added the source.

FPCC mainly produces Group II N150 and N500 base oils at its Mailiao plant.
