LONDON (ICIS)--Specialty chemicals producer Evonik Industries is targeting a €95/tonne ($128/tonne) price increase for methyl methacrylate (MMA) because of increased costs, a source from the company said on Thursday.
The source said the price adjustment would apply to MMA and all other methacrylates.
In a press release, the company said: “Due to risen costs, particularly for raw materials, Evonik Industries sees the need to adjust the prices of methacrylate monomers.
The sales prices in Europe for products from the Acrylic Monomers Business Line will increase by €95/metric ton as of October 1, unless otherwise contractually specified.”
