SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Daqing Refining & Chemicals restarted its 300,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in Heilongjiang province on 22 September, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.
The PP plant was shut in May for maintenance, and it is producing PP raffia yarn after the restart.
The company’s other PP plant, also with a capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year, was shut in September as scheduled.
As a result, there is likely to be little change in spot PP yarn supply in the market, said a distributor in northern China.
