SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s PTT Asahi Chemical (PTTAC) shut its 70,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant in Map Ta Phut on Wednesday because of a mechanical issue at the unit, company sources said on Thursday.
The plant is expected to be off line for at least a month, they said.
PTT Asahi Chemical is a joint venture between Thailand's PTT and Japan's Asahi Kasei Chemicals and Marubeni.
