LONDON (ICIS)--Netherlands-based DSM has begun scheduled maintenance on a reactor at its maleic anhydride (MA) plant in Linz, Austria, a company source said on Friday.

The reactor represents less than half of the plant’s nameplate capacity of 36,000 tonnes/year, but the precise volume affected was not disclosed.

As a result of the partial turnaround, the producer’s MA output will be reduced until mid-October, the source said.

European MA producers include Sasol-Huntsman, Polynt, DSM, MOL and CEPSA.
