China’s Baichuan to shut Nantong etac/butac unit for turnaround

MELBOURNE (ICIS)--Chinese producer Wuxi Baichuan Chemical Industrial plans to shut its 300,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac)/butyl acetate (butac) swing plant at Nantong in Jiangsu province for a turnaround, a company source said on Monday.

The company plans to shut the plant for seven days starting 1 October to undertake regular maintenance and checks, the source said.

In addition to the Nantong plant, Wuxi Baichuan operates a 200,000 tonne/year etac/butac swing plant at Jiangyin, also in Jiangsu province.
