LONDON (ICIS)--Hungary’s MOL has restarted production at its maleic anhydride (MA) plant in Szazhalombatta following a five-day unplanned outage, a company source said on Thursday.
The producer encountered technical problems and ceased production on 26 September, the source said. The plant was restarted five days later on 1 October.
Some deliveries had to be postponed, the source said, but production has now returned to normal and October deliveries should be unaffected.
The source confirmed the nameplate capacity of the Szazhalombatta plant as 16,000 tonnes/year.
European MA producers include Sasol-Huntsman, Polynt, DSM, MOL and CEPSA.
