SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Jilin Petrochemical plans to shut its 120,000 tonne/year phenol/acetone plant in Jilin on 14 October for maintenance, a company source said on Monday.

The plant, which can produce 75,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 45,000 tonnes/year of acetone, is scheduled to be off line until 25 October, the source said.

The producer is not offering acetone to the market as the entirety of its acetone output is captively consumed by its downstream units,  the source added.

Jilin Petrochemical is a subsidiary of oil and gas producer PetroChina.
