SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan is hoping to restart its two propylene (C3) units in Chiba at the end of October, a company source said on Monday.

The company shut its olefins conversion unit (OCU) and fluid catalytic unit (FCC) last week following a fire  incident at its Chiba refinery.

The propylene capacities of the OCU and FCC are around 150,000 tonnes/year and 70,000-80,000 tonnes/year, respectively.
