EU propylene imports increase, exports decrease in July and August

LONDON (ICIS)--EU propylene imports from the rest of the world increased considerably in July and August compared with figures from a year ago, according to Eurostat data released on Monday.

Imports were up by 88.56% in July but this was dwarfed by the figures for August which showed a steep increase compared with the year before. However month on month - July 2013 to August 2013 - figures showed a 18% decrease in import volumes.

Exports for July and August declined 92.56% and 66.94% respectively, but August volumes were still almost double that of July.
