SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Nippon Shokubai plans to shut its two acrylic acid (AA) plants in November-December for scheduled maintenance, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
Its 160,000 tonne/year AA unit in Himeji, Japan will be shut in November for a month of inspection and maintenance, the source said.
In December, Nippon Shokubai will shut its new 80,000 tonne/year AA unit and its 90,000 tonne/year super absorbent polymer (SAP) unit in Cilegon, Indonesia, the source said, without specifying the duration of the shutdown.
