SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Dragon Special Resins shut its 240,000 tonne/year polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle-grade chips line at Xiamen, Fujian province, on 19 October for maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.
Tight margins and weak market sentiment had led the company to shut the PET bottle-grade chips line at short notice, the source said without specifying a restart date.
The plant was previously operating at 70% capacity before the shutdown, added the source.
