LONDON (ICIS)--Czech chemical and chemical products output declined 4.5% year on year in September, the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO) said on Wednesday.

Overall industrial production increased 7.1%, although on a working-days-adjusted basis the gain was only 2.0%, it added.

The growth in industrial production was driven by a 17.8% surge in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, CZSO said.

A 12.4% gain was recorded in the manufacture of rubber and plastic products, the statistical office added.

Other increases were seen in manufacturing in general (+9.4%), the production of furniture (+8.9%) and textiles output (+6.9%), CZSO said.
