SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indonesia’s Pertamina has issued a tender to sell an additional 15,000 tonnes of paraxylene (PX) for December loading, industry sources said on Monday.
The deadline and payment terms of the tender were not immediately available.
The company recently issued a tender to sell a total of 30,000 tonnes of PX for December shipment, according to market participants.
The previous cargoes sold were split equally for first-half December and second-half December shipment, they added.
Together with the first tender, the company also issued a tender to sell 20,000 tonnes of PX in the domestic market, but only 5,000 tonnes were sold, a source familiar with the matter added.
“It seems that the company is trying to sell the remaining that was not sold domestically to the export markets,” the source added.
