DUBAI (ICIS)--National Petrochemical Industrial Co (NATPET) and A Schulman will likely start operations at their joint venture 100,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) compounding unit in mid-2015, a company official said on Wednesday.
The unit will be located near NATPET’s 400,000 tonne/year PP plant in Yanbu, the source said on the sidelines of the 8th annual Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals (GPCA) Forum in Dubai.
Saudi Arabia’s NATPET and US-headquartered plastics supplier A Schulman entered into a 50:50 joint venture for the project last year.
The GPCA 2013 Forum runs on 19-21 November.
