LONDON (ICIS)--The low end of the European ethyl acrylate (ethyl-A) spot range has edged down because of a lack of buying interest, sources said on Wednesday.
Prices are at €1,360-1,400/tonne ($1,838-1,892/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe), €10/tonne softer on the low end compared with last week's range.
Ethyl-A spot prices over 2013 peaked in March at €1,580/tonne FD NWE. Prices began a downtrend at the end of March, and sources expect them to remain stable to soft for the remainder of the year.
Ethyl-A is used in the production of paints and textiles.
