HOUSTON (ICIS)--Sunil Kumar, the former CEO of International Specialty Products (ISP), has acquired New Hampshire-based Nylon Corporation of America (NYCOA), an investment firm that advised on the deal said on Thursday.

Pillsman Partners said that the acquisition was completed last month. Pillsman was advisor to Wembley Acquisitions, a firm owned by Kumar and his daughter Monica.

NYCOA has annual sales of about $40m (€30m). The company produces engineering grade nylon resins, with a focus on specialty markets in wire and cable, lawn and garden, automotive, and monofilament applications.

It also has a line of standard and custom nylon 6 grades, and it manufactures specialty nylon grades, including plasticized, glass-reinforced, and flame-retardant grades.

ISP, for its part, was acquired in 2011 by US specialty chemicals firm Ashland in a $3.2bn deal.
