SINGAPORE (ICIS)—Taiwan Prosperity Chemical Corp (TPCC) is planning to shut its 40,000 tonne/year maleic anhydride (MA) plant at Kaohsiung from 26 December for a period of 10 days for regular maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

The plant turnaround is expected to have a marginal impact on supply to its customers, as the company would stock up ample inventory beforehand, ahead of the year-end holiday season, the source said.

TPCC is one of the four major MA producers in Taiwan.
