LONDON (ICIS)--Swiss-headquartered INEOS has restarted the No 5 cracker at its Cologne, Germany site following planned maintenance, a company spokesman said on Monday.
The company spokesman said the cracker had started today [25 November] but that it would not be at full rates for several days.
The cracker, which has a nameplate capacity of 660,000 tonnes/year of ethylene, according to ICIS data, was shut down for maintenance in mid-September and is one of two owned and operated by INEOS at the site.
Restart had been delayed by around a week because high winds had halted maintenance activities, sources said.
The delay led to a force majeure declaration on butadiene (BD).
