South Korea's PTA exports fall 11.9% in Oct to 229,293 tonne

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s exports of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) fell by 11.9% year on year to 229,293 tonnes in October, industry data showed on Friday.

The country’s exports of upstream paraxylene (PX) jumped by 74.8% year on year to 252,442 tonnes in October, while shipments of mixed xylenes surged to 31,555 tonnes last month from 4,151 tonnes a year earlier, according to data by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).
