LONDON (ICIS)--Peretchin Timber and Chemical Plant will be able to boost the operating rate at its Ukrainian ethyl acetate (etac) facility to 100% in the first week of December after being able to source feedstock acetic acid from Russia and other parts of Europe, a company source said on Friday.

The source said the operating rate of its factory in Perechin, Ukraine, fell to around 60-70% in October and November because of a shortage of acetic acid.

Peretchin's etac factory has a production capacity of 30,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS data.

The shortage in etac production came after Ukraine-based Azot Severodonetsk closed its acetic acid plant in Severodonetsk in September. That plant remains closed.
