HOUSTON (ICIS)--December polyvinyl chloride (PVC) prices in Argentina rolled over from November on balanced supply and demand in Latin American markets, sources said on Thursday.
Pipe-grade PVC prices in Argentina have remained steady since July and are assessed at $1,410-1,630/tonne (€1,043-1,206/tonne) DEL (delivered).
Argentina’s flat pricing from November to December was in line with the trend in other Latin American countries, according to sources.
PVC demand is softening in Latin America as the US construction industry slows in the winter and participants throughout the Americas clear inventories in December to minimise taxes.
PVC producers in Latin America include Braskem, Mexichem, Solvay and Pequiven.
